The Nota Bene Terroir

Nota Bene is grown exclusively in the Black Hills Winery Vineyard. The terroir on our 27-acre property is some of the most exceptional in the country.

Located on the famed Black Sage Bench north of Osoyoos, our vineyard has a microclimate that makes it one of the hottest, driest and most sunny sites in Canada.

Our west-facing orientation combined with our deep desert sand gives us intense daytime heat followed by cool nights. The result is that our vineyard yields intensely flavorful grapes and exceptional and unique blends like our Nota Bene wine.


	Nota Bene Wine Tweet Nota Bene is a Bordeaux-style red wine proudly produced by Black Hills Estate Winery in Oliver, BC. Nota Bene is Latin for “Take Note” and is one of Canada’s most popular wines. Nota Bene wine was first launched with our 1999 vintage. Since then the following for Nota Bene has grown rapidly.
